LEAGUE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OPEN POSITIONS

The MML Board of Directors as stated in the MML ByLaws, Section 2-202- Duties: The duties of the Board are to conduct the affairs of the League between business meetings and general membership meetings and to adopt policies of the League.

Each Board member is elected to serve a one-year term which coincides with the membership year, commencing on July 1st. During the membership year, the Board meets on average four times per year, unless it is determined that a meeting is deemed not necessary due to the lack of action items. Once elected, Board members will receive a full schedule of upcoming meetings so they can mark their calendars and plan ahead.

MML Board members are the leadership for the League, representing the entirety of membership rather than a single population. Whether its speaking on panels at conferences, at the testimony table during the legislative session or representing the League with our partners in the federal, state and county arenas, our Board members are elected to be the voice of the entire membership.

To be considered for a Board of Director position, applicants must complete the application in its entirety inclusive of the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest forms. All materials of a completed candidate application will be presented to the MML Nominating Committee for review and approval.

There are three categories for a Board position. An individual may apply only for a single Board position.

June 12, 2026: All Board Electronic Voting Closes

June 16, 2026: Announcement of Board Election Winners, Closing Session

June 17, 2026: Leadership Orientation, In Person

June 24, 2026: Leadership Orientation, Virtual
