Apply for Free Pilot Projects

Marketplace.city is partnering with Leading Cities, a nonprofit to advance government sustainability and resiliency, to help find communities for pre-paid pilots through their AcceliGOV program. Winners of the accelerator program, AcceliCITY, will receive money for a funded pilot (no financial commitment from the government), and Marketplace.city is helping with the outreach to potential partner communities. The pilot areas are:

  • Solid Waste Solution
  • Weather Data Solution
  • EV Charging Solution
  • Sustainability and Resilience Solution
  • Clean Water Solution
  • Emergency Response Solution

A full overview of the proposed pilot parameters and the companies involved can be found on AcceliGOV’s website.

Interested municipalities can fill out a short form to provide background information and indicate which of the 6 areas they are interested in a pilot. Responses will be accepted until February 29.

The AcceliGOV program encourages cities, municipalities, and private organizations to apply for a no-cost implementation of innovative, sustainable solutions that enhance urban resilience and address specific local challenges.

Leading Cities is a global non-profit built on the philosophy that cities, which for the first time represent most of the world’s population, are essential to overcome our great challenges—climate change, human equity, and technology development.

Marketplace.city’s mission is to simplify the process for local governments to source, validate, and procure new technology, so that governments can be responsive to their constituents and focus on their core mission to serve those constituents.
