In-Person Workshops - Bike and Pedestrian Accessibility and Safety

The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration is hosting five in-person workshops to provide information on grant opportunities focused on improving bicycle and pedestrian accessibility and safety throughout the state.

The workshops are designed to provide support to local governments, nonprofits, school districts and education agencies, transportation authorities, transit agencies, natural resource or public land agencies and tribal governments who are interested in applying for funding through the various state and federal grant programs.

State Highway Administration staff will discuss grants opportunities provided by the Transportation Alternatives/Safe Routes to School Program, Recreational Trails Program and Kim Lamphier Bikeways Network Program, as well as grants offered through the Maryland Highway Safety Office, Emissions Reduction Program, and several other federal discretionary programs.

Staff will be available to guide attendees through the application process.
